I'm in charge of the codex, and I love the fact that you are doing edits on it. However, we are trying to make the Gallery 2 documentation a bit different from the old Gallery 1 docs.
We want "How Do I" style (task based) installation docs, not plain technical step by step installation guides.
Don't get me wrong, I'm very glad to have you onboard, but please try to format the docs in that manner. It'll save us a lot of time if you write it the way we want it first time around.
While we are at it, please join us in #gallery on irc.freenode.net for a chat, and subscribe to the gallery-docs maillinglist.
