What specifically are you thinking of? Polishing and moving the embed module (initial sync) into the main SVN? Making the API simpler? Extending it? Moving code form several integrations into the API? For some ideas, please see the embedding roadmap. --Valiant 04:08, 8 November 2006 (PST)

related to a previous comment; have you thought to re-consider the design of sidebar to use the same interface across the whole system ? eg. sidebar is hard-coded in core, while other modules use sidebar block.

I rememer that there were some discussions about this issue.
