There could be unforeseen issues, but if the db export/import works correctly then sure.. copy over the data, update config.php and G2 will continue along without knowing any better [1]

The Gallery2 page "Gallery2:Installation Requirements refers to Download Link for the script to check your Gallery2 for potential problems due to PHP settings, but the linked to page states it is for Gallery 1! Oceco 21:20, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
